Two days after seeding the third developer beta of iOS 11, build 15A5318g, the second public beta is now available. It should be the same build that developers got earlier in the week.
There are a few minor new features that weren't included in the first public beta. For example, you can finally use the microphone to record audio from external sources when using the new built-in screen recording feature. Also, the new multitasking screen on iPads finally allows users to swipe to kill apps, whereas previously you'd have to hold the tab and then tap on an 'x'.
Apple is still early in the development cycle for the OS, so naturally, there are still plenty of known issues, as apps like DirecTV, Pinterest, Tweetbot, Square Cash, and Citi Mobile may not work as expected. There are plenty of other issues too, although many were resolved with this release.
If you want to get your hands on iOS 11 now, you can sign up for the Public Beta Program here. If you're already signed up, just head over to the Settings app on your iOS device to check for updates.
