Yesterday, Apple released new beta builds of iOS 10.2, macOS 10.12.2 Sierra, and watchOS 3.1.1. tvOS 10.1 was notably missing from the mix, so it's no surprise that the company seeded Developer Beta 5 today.
The release notes for today's build - which is 14U593 - don't show anything specific that's new. The update itself will include bug fixes and stability improvements, as well as the new TV app (which will also be in iOS 10.2) that was announced in October.
TV is meant to be a hub for all of your video content, with the exception of Netflix, which won't be supported. While it works across numerous apps, you'll be able to purchase TV shows and movies from iTunes, and get recommendations through the Watch Now section.
When Apple announced the app, it said that it would arrive via a software update in December, so you shouldn't have to wait too long for a public release of tvOS 10.1, as well as iOS 10.2, macOS 10.12.2, and watchOS 3.1.1. Of course, there is no Public Beta program for tvOS.
