If you happen to work at an Apple Store, you can look forward to lots of free apps in the future. In what may or may not be a limited-time holiday offer, Apple is going to give employees free access to a number of popular paid iOS apps.
Apple has had a similar program in place for a couple of years now, 9to5Mac reports, but until now it’s been restricted to first party Apple apps. According to sources at the company’s quarterly meeting, the new program will give employees free redemption codes to access certain apps.
They don’t give any info on what those apps might be, but 9to5Mac speculates that the program may only extend to the apps included on in-store demo units. This would give employees a chance to learn more about the products they’re trying to sell, while getting a nice Christmas present in the process. Because, you know, everyone loves free stuff.
