We are still several months away from the release of the next iPhone. Yet, the news is still swirling and the rumors are pouring in with regard to a special iPhone that will be unveiled this year to celebrate the handset's ten-year anniversary.
According to reports, Apple will release a successor to this year's iPhone 7 and 7 Plus that are thought to be in line with previous releases and will be dubbed with the "s" moniker. But, on top of these two releases, it is said that Apple will also for the first time release a third device, one that will be a bit more experimental and high-end.
While there isn't complete clarity about when it will be released, there is a rumor that states it has been delayed due to some component issues. Furthermore, this handset could arrive not as the iPhone 8 as previously reported, but as the "iPhone Edition", similar to the naming scheme of denoting its highest Apple Watch with "Apple Watch Edition".
Naturally, we will have to wait until more information becomes available. Although it is still very early and prototypes of the device are being worked on, there are still many things that can change over the course of several months.
