Are you paying too much for computer games? The fairplay campaign thinks so and i'm inclined to agree.
Did you know that the game you recently bought for your PC, Xbox, Gamecube or PS2 only cost under £2 to press and manufacture the CD itself and all the packaging!? In stark contrast xbox games for example are around £45 on the high street which i'm sure you'll agree is an astronomical amount for a computer game which should be 30 quid maximum!
The pressure group FairPlay aims to hurt the industry where it hurts most in its pocket by boycotting all new game purchases beween the 1st and 8th of December this year.
Industry gurus such as Peter Moloneux have been keen to wade into the debate stating that he absolutely agrees with the sentement that games are over priced but such pricing is set by the publishers not the developers and they have very little control over this.
