ASRock expects its motherboard shipments to grow 20% sequentially to two million units in the third quarter due to rising demand from China, India and Europe, according to company sources. Although the exact figures are not yet available, the sources estimated that the company's second-quarter motherboards shipments were down less than 15% from the 1.8 million units it shipped in the first quarter. The drop is better than an original expectation of a 20% sequential decline, as reported on June 3. With the coming of the traditional peak season and the expected rise in demand from China and India in July and from Europe at the end of August, chances are good that ASRock ships two million motherboards in the third quarter, said the sources.
