Assassin's Creed III PC gets Digital Deluxe version

PC gamers will be able to download and purchase a special Digital Deluxe version of Assassin's Creed III when the action game is released by Ubisoft later this fall. The Digital Deluxe version will cost $64.99, about five dollars more than the regular edition.

If you decide to pony up for that extra five bucks, you will get a number of in-game content extras, including three new single player missions that Ubisoft says will take the game's players "from the high seas to Cozumel Island in search of Captain Kidd’s fabled lost treasure".

There will also be two exclusive in-game outfits. Ubisoft says they will include the Captain of the Aquila’s uniform and traditional Colonial Assassin outfit, boarding axe and Scottish flintlock for use in the single player campaign. You will also get exclusive Sharpshooter and Redcoat characters in the game's multiplayer mode.

The PC Digital Deluxe version will also get a downloadable soundtrack featuring tunes from previous games in the series. Finally, it will have what Ubisoft is calling "George Washington’s notebook revealing his true story during the American Revolution." Interesting.

Ubisoft has also released a new "July 4th" trailer showing off more of Assassin's Creed III. The video, posted on YouTube, shows mostly big battle sequences between the American colonists and the British redcoats on both land and sea.
