Asus is still coming out with some impressive looking Windows 8 notebooks, such as the recent dual screen Asus Taichi 31 laptop. Today, details have emerged on a new Ultrabook model coming from Asus that sounds like it might be worth a look when it is finally released.
Engadget's report says that the notebook will be called the Zenbook Infinity and Asus says it will be the first Ultrabook to have an outer lid made from Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It will also be used for the keyboard surround. So far, the only other detail about the laptop's hardware is that it will be just 15.5mm thick, which is 14 percent thinner than the already skinny Zenbook models.
Asus will reveal more details about the Zenbook Infinity at its press conference on June 3rd during the Computex trade show in Taiwan. You can check out a teaser trailer for that event above. The notebook itself won't launch until sometime in the third quarter of 2013. Computex was the trade show where many PC companies revealed their first Windows 8 products in 2012 and it looks like it will also be the place that PC OEMs will use to announce a new wave of Windows 8 devices.
