Yesterday we had the rare opportunity to talk with Microsoft Co-Founder Bill Gates about the future of Windows, 64-bit computing, and more.
As we have previously reported, Gartner Group and others have reported that they believe Windows Vista will be the last major edition of Microsoft Windows and that future versions would mostly be about virtualization and extensions. When asked about that and Bill Gates was adamant that another major version of Microsoft Windows would be delivered within 2 to 4 years.
Mr. Gates also talked about his future with Microsoft including his continuing involvement, though at a lesser level, after 2008.
