BlackBerry is all set to unveil the latest generation of its physical keyboard-touting KEY smartphone over a year since the launch of the KEYone.
The company's official Twitter handle posted the invite for the launch of the device, which will be held in New York on June 7. According to a recent filing at China's certification agency TENAA, the device looks similar to its predecessor and will likely feature premium mid-range specifications.
Some of the hardware specifications of the device that have leaked so far include the Snapdragon 660 octa-core chipset, a dual-camera setup featuring 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors, and a 4.5-inch display with 1620x1080 resolution that translates to a 3:2 aspect ratio.
BlackBerry is expected to have improved the gesture-based physical keyboard with more features in the latest version of the KEY smartphone. The device could also be part of the Android Enterprise Program like its predecessor, but we will only know more about it once the company unveils the device next month.
