With Blizzcon 2019 starting in just a few days, new details are emerging on Blizzard's rumored title Overwatch 2, the follow up to the highly successfully Overwatch. It's been almost three years since the competitive first person shooter graced consoles and computer screens, winning a number of awards and being crowned Game of the Year at the Game Awards 2016.
The hype for a sequel has been calling and fans look to be getting just that. ESPN is now reporting that according to a Blizzcon source and a leaked training document for the event, Overwatch 2 will be shown at Blizzcon 2019 with a host of new features and a potential new game mode called 'Push' based on a never seen before map set in Toronto. A new PvE story mode that's new to the franchise, along with a four player co-op mode set in Rio de Janerio is to be featured as well, as reported by Kotaku in June.
Other details seem to indicate that the game will be getting at least one or more new heroes added to the game. The logo will also be getting a slight update with a small orange 2 next to the Overwatch logo, as potential leaked material seems to indicate.
Fans won't have to wait long now until we know what Blizzard has up its sleeve for Overwatch, with Blizzcon set to begin in only a few days time. Both the new PvE story mode and new game mode is expected to be made available for attendees to play at the event over the weekend.
