While we have yet to see Borderlands 3 in the wild, it seems the game that kicked off the series is getting a re-release according to new ratings that went up in Korea's Game Rating and Administration Committee website today. Although the pages have now been removed, thanks to Google Cache, we can still see the PC and PlayStation 4 listings for a Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, but the Xbox One page that was present earlier seems to be lost.
With both Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel receiving remastered releases for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 via the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, the only game in the series that is not natively available on the current-gen consoles is the original Borderlands from 2009, although it is playable on Xbox One through backward compatibility.
Neither 2K or Gearbox has officially announced anything yet, but with E3 just around the corner, we could see a reveal arrive during the expo. This release being a remaster is likely as well, since the new version is rated for PC and the platform already has a Game of the Year edition of the co-op RPG that arrives with all the expansions.
Also, another unannounced title that was recently listed on the Korean Game Rating Board was Sunset Overdrive, which may finally be getting a PC release.
