BT is on target to get one million ADSL subscribers by the end of next summer
I'm amazed they even have that many members;)
Confirmation that it's on course came today as BT Wholesale announced it had connected its 500,000th ADSL punter. With around 40 weeks to go until its summer deadline, coupled with word that ADSL connections are growing at around 16,000 a week, it appears that BT could hit its goal of a million ADSL connections by summer 2003.
In a statement Alison Ritchie, BT's recently-appointed broadband tsarina, said: "This is an important milestone in our progress towards the challenging target of one million broadband connections by next summer, and five million by 2006."
For the record, the 500,000th ADSL connection went to mobile phone outlet Future AC, Barking - a customer of the easynet ISP.®
