The initial three plans, available until 30 January, range from £39.99 to £49.99, and new offerings will be announced from 7 February. BT has stated that it will be running an advertising campaign across print, TV, and digital to promote its strategic partnership with Google. Marc Allera, CEO of BT’s Consumer Division, stated:
“We continually look to provide our customers with the most exciting products and experiences, and by partnering with Google on Stadia, we’re able to help them push the limits of gaming. We’re also investing in the UK’s fastest 4G, 5G and fibre networks, so our superfast home broadband service is the perfect accompaniment for those wanting to make the most from this innovative streaming gaming platform”.
This announcement comes just a day after Stadia laid down its features roadmap in Q1 2020 which came with a promise of more than 120 games in the year, including 10 exclusives.
