Telephone giant BT have reported that they have run out of broadband in Hemel Hempstead, according to The Register. New orders for broadband connections in Hemel have been put on hold while BT upgrades and installs new kit to meet demand. There are now over 9.5million broadband subscribers in the UK, and with a huge portion of these being new subscribers in the past couple of year's telecom giants are apparently struggling to meet demand.
A spokesperson for BT said "This does mean there will be a slight delay in meeting the orders on this exchange for which we apologise, but we are doing all we can to get this work completed as soon as is possible." However, they were unable to give a date for which people would be able to subscribe to BT again. If you are in Hemel and looking for broadband it seems that NTL still have space to accomodate you on their network.
