Following three releases to the Fast Ring last week, Microsoft is showing some love to Slow Ring Insiders with the release of Build 10162 following its release to Fast Ring Insiders late last week.
Just before the weekend, Microsoft made the ISOs for build 10162 available ahead of its release to the Slow Ring. Build 10162 brings more bug fixes and polish as we quickly approach the July 29th release date for Windows 10. Also making an appearance is the new "tips" feature where users will get notifications teaching them how to use things like the Notification Center and Virtual Desktops that Windows 10 introduces.
Microsoft has been on quite a roll this past week, with nearly every build making it through Microsoft's own internal rings, Insiders have gotten plenty of new builds to play with. We aren't sure how many more builds Insiders can expect between now and the 29th, especially with Windows 10 expected to reach the RTM milestone later this week. Insiders shouldn't fret for too long though, as Microsoft has already said the Insider Program will continue on after release.
If your update settings are set to Slow Ring you can expect the new build to be available shortly. You can read the blog post detailing the changes in Build 10162 here.
