With Destiny 2's console beta behind it, Bungie has now revealed what is in store for the game's previously announced PC beta. The news comes via Bungie's weekly update blog post, where the developer detailed the game's PC beta dates as well as the game's system requirements for the platform.
Players who pre-order the game will get to jump into the beta a day earlier than everyone else on August 28. The open beta then commences on August 29, with the whole event ending on August 31. However, there is a possibility of the beta being extended a few days, as we saw for the console event earlier this week.
As for the system requirements, the developer provided both the minimum and the recommended PC specifications needed to play the Destiny 2 beta effectively. Both of these specifications are listed below, however, the developer noted that these might change by the time the game nears its launch:
Minimum Spec
CPU: Intel - Core i3-3250 / AMD - FX-4350GPU: Nvidia - GeForce GTX 660 2GB / AMD - Radeon HD 7850 2GB
RAM: 6GB
Recommended Spec
CPU: Intel - Core i5-2400 / AMD - Ryzen R5 1600XGPU: Nvidia - GeForce GTX 970 / AMD - Radeon R9 390
RAM: 8GB
Considering that this will be the first time PC players will get to experience a Destiny game, it will be interesting to see how the PC crowd reacts to the shooter. Just like the beta, the PC version of Destiny 2's full release will also arrive over a month after the console launch date and will be available exclusively via Blizzard's Battle.net client.
Destiny 2 is slated to launch on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 6, with a PC launch following on October 24.
