A remastered edition of Burnout Paradise, the fan-favorite Criterion Games open world racing game, was announced earlier this year, which arrived for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles in March. While a PC launch was also confirmed, the release date was kept under wraps until now.
The developer has quietly announced that PC players will be able to get their hands on Burnout Paradise Remastered on August 21, with owners of the original game on Origin receiving a 75% discount when purchasing the remaster.
Other than 4K resolution textures, it's unclear exactly what sort of enhancements does the game carry for the PC version, but the original announcement did tout that it will bring "a range of technical enhancements for greater visual fidelity." As a bonus, the original's Big Surf Island expansion that never released for the PC version is included in the remaster, in addition to all DLC car packs.
Moreover, Origin Access Premier subscribers can begin playing Burnout Paradise Remastered in full right now, thanks to EA's new initiative to offer all of its upcoming titles with the upgraded plan. Origin Access basic subscribers, meanwhile, can try the game out for 10-hours.
