While Sledgehammer Games is preparing Call of Duty: WWII for its launch later this year, another Call of Duty game has now landed on the PC and Xbox One, or at least a stand-alone version of an existing one.
This new release is the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered's stand-alone edition, the very same game that arrived bundled with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's special editions last year.
The stand-alone edition launched for the PlayStation 4 exactly a month ago, with Activision stating that the game will arrive later to the other platforms. Now, PC and Xbox One players can finally experience the remastered classic title, which many fans of the series deem to be the best game of the franchise.
The remastered game gives players access to the entire single-player campaign as well as its various multiplayer modes and maps, with graphical and other revamps to many of their aspects. However, The Variety Map Pack DLC that arrived free to PC owners of the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, is now only available as a purchasable DLC pack for the remastered edition, with a $14.99 price tag.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is now available for purchase on the Microsoft Store and Steam for $39.99.
