Today, March 19th, Activision released the initial downloadable content for Treyarch's Call of Duty: World at War. The first map pack for the World War II shooter includes three new multiplayer maps and a new Nazi zombie level. Map Pack 1 is available for both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 with a price tag of 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99). The downloadable content will also be released to PC gamers in the near future.
The multiplayer maps include: "Knee Deep", an attack and defend style map situated in a fortified Japanese outpost, "Nightfire", a map set in the burning streets of Berlin and "Station", located in a chaotic bombed out underground subway station. The most anticipated component of the downloadable content is "Verrückt" or Zombie Asylum. This Nazi zombie level contains upgraded zombies and new features that aren't included in the current level. More weapons, Perks-a-Cola machines and electroshock defenses are some of the new features that redefine the Nazi zombie madness.
