It was only last week that we reported on the possibility of a new OnePlus handset arriving to market. This information was fueled by the fact that the firm's four-month-old device was no longer available to purchase from the company's own website. Although it is unclear what exactly is going on, OnePlus' co-founder Carl Pei has chimed in on the situation.
In a slightly cryptic tweet, Pei stated that the OnePlus 5 proved to be more popular, alluding to that being the reason that the stock has run dry. While this could certainly be the case, there is perhaps some potential that the co-founder is having a bit of fun while being coy about the upcoming release. But if this is indeed the reason, maybe OnePlus needs to get back into using their glorious invite system. Naturally, we won't know for sure, but there is a chance that the OnePlus 5T is coming, the only question is when it might arrive.
