Earlier this year, Casio took the wraps off its Android Wear 2.0 offering, the Pro Trek Smart WSD-F20 smartwatch at CES 2017 in Las Vegas. The company promised to bring the device to the market by April 21 and has almost kept its promise, as the device is now available from Amazon in the US.
Casio's latest smartwatch is designed for adventure, sports, and a lot of outdoor use, so the company has included a lot of features for such activity. Its hardware specifications are as follows:
- 1.32-inch screen
- 512 MB RAM
- 4 GB of internal storage
- Android Wear 2.0,
- GPS, digital compass, altimeter, barometer, activity tracker, microphone
- Water resistant up to 50 meters and MIL-STD-810G standard compliant for drops
- Case diameter of 61.7mm
- Up to 25 hours of battery life with GPS on and one month when in Timepiece mode
In addition to these, the smartwatch's differentiator seems to be its ability to store offline map content and provide guidance. The device retains a typical Casio design, and looks like a traditional watch, you can check out our hands-on with the device to get a better idea.
