Last year, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's card minigame, Gwent, was spun off as its own stand-alone free-to-play title by developer CD Projekt RED. In mid-August, it got a single-player story campaign, and now, there are 'big things' headed to the game, according to an email that the company sent out.
If you expected a rundown of everything coming, you'll have to wait a little longer, as CDPR will hold a livestream on its Twitch channel on Monday, October 30. On this occasion, it will discuss changes and features implemented in the game's upcoming patch, as well as take questions from those who tune in. If you wish to catch the stream as it happens, it will take place at 9PM CET (which is 1PM PDT, 4PM EDT).
The choice of date is pretty interesting, as Ranked Play Season 2 ends on October 30 at 12PM CET, and Pro Ladder Season 1 ends on October 31 at 12PM CET. Since Halloween is also around the corner, it has been somewhat indirectly confirmed that themed content will also be headed for Gwent, as will other holiday-themed additions.
Speaking of Halloween, be sure to check out the latest installment of our Weekend PC Game Deals post, for some frighteningly good discounts on a variety of titles.
