Chinese manufacturer Chuwi has unveiled a new addition to its range, joining a growing line-up of Windows 10 devices. In the last eighteen months, the company has launched the Vi8 Plus tablet, the Hi12 slate, and the HiBook 2-in-1, and in December, it revealed the LapBook 14.1.
Now, the firm has unveiled a new version of the LapBook, with a smaller display, but with much higher resolution than the 14.1-inch Full HD version of its sibling. The new LapBook 12.3 has the same screen size and resolution of Microsoft's high-end Surface Pro 4 tablet.
Chuwi hasn't yet revealed everything about the LapBook 12.3, but here's what we know so far about its key features:
- 12.3-inch display with 2736x1824px resolution
- Intel Apollo Lake N3450 processor with HD 500 graphics
- 6GB RAM
- 64GB storage
- Dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi
- 2 x USB Type-A ports
- 3.5mm audio port
Chuwi hasn't announced how much the LapBook 12.3 will cost when it goes on sale later this month, but given that the 14.1-inch model was priced below $300, it seems likely that the new model will be similarly affordable.
