Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order announced the 'Green Cities' expansion for its popular city-builder game, Cities Skylines, back at gamescom 2017 earlier this year. Today, the publisher announced that this sustainability-bringing expansion is slated for launch on October 19.
The announcement also brought along a brand new trailer, seen above, showcasing the various new ways players will be able to go green.
The expansion delivers 350 new assets to the game, from cosmetic options to brand new eco-friendly buildings, along with 'organic shops', electric vehicles, and services for reducing pollution, may it be noise or environmental based. It will be up to players to decide whether to build an entirely eco-friendly city or go for a more diverse approach.
Upon its release, Green Cities will count as the fifth full expansion to arrive for Cities Skylines' PC version. Meanwhile, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 editions are lagging behind quite heavily on add-ons, with only the game's first expansion, After Dark, being available.
Cities Skylines: Green Cities expansion will cost $12.99 and arrive for Windows, macOS, and Linux on October 19. And just as with all previous expansions, Green Cities will also be accompanied by a free game update to all Cities Skylines owners with various improvements, such as road modding tools, new customization options, and more.
