It was more than a decade ago that Capcom released the Mega Man X Collection exclusively in the United States for the PlayStation 2 and GameCube. Now, the publisher has revealed that a new collection for the Mega Man X series will be coming to modern consoles in summer of 2018.
While some might not be familiar, the Mega Man X series offered a similar experience to the original Mega Man series, but added some interesting moves to the character like wall riding, air boosts, and more. Mega Man was also able to upgrade parts of his armor permanently by finding hidden capsules. All of these new skills were in addition to the core component of the game, where Mega Man could defeat a boss and assimilate its skill into his own repertoire.
The new collection will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PCnext summer. Capcom also announced that its Legacy Collection would be coming to the Nintendo Switch, along with a new Mega Man game.
