EA postpones the launch of its upcoming real-time strategy game expansion to revise its box art.
Gamespot spoke with a representative of Electronic Arts today about the publisher's plan to delay the release of its upcoming real-time strategy game expansion, Command & Conquer Yuri's Revenge. According to EA, the delay is due to a revision in packaging, and it should postpone the release of the game for between one and two weeks. The company is not making any changes to the game itself. Electronic Arts recently revealed that it was offering retailers revised box art for its popular real-time strategy game Command & Conquer Red Alert 2. The current Red Alert 2 box art, which was released in October 2000, includes scenes that could be considered inappropriate after the terrorist attacks last Tuesday, such as recognizable US landmarks in the midst of a futuristic war.
