The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is a handset you'll most likely not see too much of if you live in the United States or Europe. While it is readily available for sale in Asia from Xiaomi, those in other regions will have to make do with purchasing it from a third-party vendor. Although there is nothing wrong with this, it is sometimes tough to make a decision when you have not physically held or even seen the device in person. Since this might be the case for many, this is a quick comparison video of the Mi MIX 2.
When comparing handsets, it's important to find devices that are similar so that you can get a feeling for how it will be. The LG V30 and OnePlus 5T are good examples, but the V30 is definitely a closer match when it comes dimensions.
- Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 - 151.8 x 75.5 x 7.7 mm
- OnePlus 5T - 156.1 x 75 x 7.3 mm
- LG V30 - 151.7 x 75.4 x 7.3 mm
This is a good thing because the V30 is sold at most wireless carriers globally, which means you can get a sense of what you are in for if you were to purchase the Mi MIX 2. Again, it won't be the exact same thing, but I think this is the best you can hope for if you don't have physical access to a Mi MIX 2. If you have more interest in the smartphone, you can check out the recent unboxing and first impressions. Otherwise, stay tuned for more content in the coming week.
I'd like to extend a big 'Thank You' to the folks at GearBest who supplied the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. If you would like to purchase the handset, you can head to the GearBest website, where it starts at $469.
