The Computex 2003 exhibition will be held on September 22-26, the Taipei Computer Association (TCA) and China External Trade Development Council (CETRA) announced today. It had been postponed from June 2-6 due to the SARS outbreak. The co-sponsors originally said they expected 30,000 visitors from over 150 countries to attend.
About 1,148 companies had registered as exhibitors, with plans to occupy more than 2,467 booth spaces. Entering its twenty-third year, the show is adding high-speed connection forum (HSCF), IC design and flat-panel display pavilions while continuing its wireless communications and security pavilions. The event will also employ a new smart card registration system.
