Microsoft originally announced the DLC plans for Dead Rising 4 before the game had even come out, revealing three pieces of content that would arrive for the game post-launch.
The first of the three DLCs, the Stocking Stuffer Holiday Pack came out last year. Following its release, the company has now announced that it's almost time for the two remaining DLCs, Frank Rising and Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf, to release for the Xbox One and Windows 10 editions of Dead Rising 4.
First up is the new single-player DLC coming to the game, Frank Rising. Set in the city of Willamette, you get to play as a zombie-infected Frank West, who is on a mission to cure himself and save his friends stuck in the city. As the government is eyeing to destroy the city to remove the new zombie outbreak, Frank has little time to spare, but all thanks to the infection he has some new abilities to aid him. Although the announcement doesn't reveal what these skills are yet, they do come with the small side effect of needing to feed on other people to survive.
Dead Rising 4: Frank Rising DLC is set for release on April 4, 2017, available as part of the $19.99 season pass or standalone at launch for $9.99.
Next, going in a completely different direction is the Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf DLC. This one takes place in Willamette as well; however, you'll be playing mini golf, with some Dead Rising flair added in for good measure. It features plenty of zombies to kill using your explosive mini golf skills, play-by-play commentary by Frank West, support for up to four players in online multiplayer and turn-based co-op for local play.
While Microsoft is keeping the release date of this extravagantly named DLC under wraps, it's also included in the game's season pass, with a $9.99 standalone version that will be available whenever it launches.
