It's IFA this week, and while the event isn't happening in person, companies are still announcing their wares. It's a big week too, and today, Nvidia is announcing its next-gen graphics cards. The GeForce RTX 30 Series is here, and Dell is going to be among the first on-board.
Dell confirmed the RTX 30 Series in its Alienware Aurora towers, including the Intel flavor and the Ryzen Edition. You'll get a choice between the RTX 3090 with 24GB GDDR6X or the RTX 3080 with 10GB GDDR6X memory.
But that's not all, because we've got new gaming laptops with 360Hz displays. Indeed, that is absolutely the highest refresh rate that you'll find on the market right now, and Nvidia just keeps pushing it higher. The new 360Hz FHD panels can be found on the Alienware Area-51m R2 and the Alienware m17 R3.
The Area-51m still comes with a desktop CPU, up to a 10th-generation Core i9. For something a bit slimmer, the Alienware m15 and m17 come with H-series chips, up to a 10th-generation Core i9 HK processor. They both come with Nvidia's GeForce RTX graphics.
Dell also introduced a few monitors, and the Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor has a, you guessed it, 360Hz refresh rate. It also supports Nvidia's Reflex Latency Analyzer, which will measure latency for you based on all of your peripherals. There's also the Alienware 38 Gaming Monitor, with a WQHD+ resolution and DisplayHDR 600. And finally, the Alienware 27 Gaming Monitor has QHD resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate.
Dell didn't provide specifics on pricing or availability.
