At CES last year, Dell introduced Mobile Connect, a Windows 10 tool that bridges the gap between your computer and smartphone, enabling things such as call and texts without having to pick up your phone every time. It even lets you mirror your phone's screen, so it's a pretty complete solution.
This year, Dell is making it even more complete with the addition of drag-and-drop file transfer between your phone and computer. Of course, this is only for Android phones, as iOS is typically very limited in this sense. As seen in the image above, you can simply load up a list of files on your phone and seamlessly move them to your computer as necessary.
If that's not novel enough for you, Dell is going as far as building a virtual reality experience for the tool, which retains the ability to get notifications, make calls, and send texts from the VR interface. Even screen mirroring is available thanks to a floating 3D model of your phone that has a touchscreen. Again, this will only work for Android users.
Dell Mobile Connect is available for Dell PCs in the XPS, Alienware, Inspiron, and Vostro lines since January of last year. You can download it from the Microsoft Store here if you have a supported device.
