Dell today announced the G5 SE, its latest mainstream gaming laptop. What's interesting about this laptop is that it packs the latest from AMD, including third-generation Ryzen Renoir-H CPUs, along with an AMD Radeon RX 5600M for graphics. It also has AMD SmartShift, which can automatically shift power between the CPU and the GPU to improve performance.
It includes a 15.6-inch FHD display with two-sided narrow bezels, with an option for a 144Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync. For the keyboard, there's an optional four-zone WASD RGB backlit keyboard that's customizable through the Alienware Command Center.
Dell is also introducing the ability to use your phone as a second screen. You might want to be able to check on your system's internals while playing a game, check out a tutorial for beating a level, or something else. This is going to work with all of the G-series, not just the new G5 SE.
Dell's G5 SE is expected to arrive in April, and it will start at $799. Naturally, things like the 144Hz display and the RGB keyboard will cost more.
