It has been quite some time since the release of Diablo III, as the title originally debuted over four years ago on the PC. Since that time, the title has received an expansion, Reaper of Souls, that eventually made its way to consoles, including the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Today, Blizzard has announced that Reaper of Souls will gain a new class in 2017, the Necromancer.
The Rise of the Necromancer pack will have players take control of the dark arts and lead the army of the dead towards conquest. Although final details aren't yet solidified, Blizzard did state that the new Necromancer class will be able to hurl bone projectiles, siphon blood from enemies, command a horde of the undead, teleport, and best of all, explode transgressors.
The expansion pack will also arrive with a new pet, two additional character slots, and two additional stash tabs on the PC. Those that purchase the expansion will also get a portrait frame, pennant, banner, and banner sigil. Blizzard has not set a price for the expansion, but the Rise of the Necromancer pack will be available sometime in 2017.
