Digital Illusions today officially lifted the wraps in its latest title, Battlefield: Bad Company, for the Playstation3 and Xbox 360. Scheduled for release during 2007 and built upon the "Frostbite" game engine, it appears that PSP and PC versions of the title will be announced at a later date. Although unclear, it seems that the title is the previously unnamed title that was cancelled for the Xbox and PlayStation2 back in February.
Early information hints that the game will focus on a cinematic single-player campaign, as opposed to the series roots in online multiplayer, with the experience defined as an adventure with dark humor elements never before seen in a Battlefield title. Commenting on the title, Magnus Troedsson Senior Producer, commented on the constantly changing game world which requires players to adapt their tactics accordingly.
