After plenty of teasers, DICE has reserved a date for the next Battlefield's unveiling: June 9. We have known a new entry has been in development for quite some time now with a holiday 2021 launch window, but's nice to finally have a date attached to the reveal.
As shared by the official Twitter account of the franchise, the reveal will happen at 7AM PDT / 4PM CEST on next Wednesday, June 9.
Although fans have gotten used to calling this entry Battlefield 6, the official channels are simply using 'Battlefield' to promote the unveiling, with even the short video attached to the announcement tweet, seen below, only calling the game Battlefield as the remixed theme music blares in the background. Following the jumpy Battlefield 4, Hardline, 1, and V naming scheme, DICE may be planning to drop all the extra numbers and words this time.

DICE, DICE LA, Criterion Games, and Electronic Arts Gothenburg studios are involved in the development of this massive project, which EA calls the largest Battlefield ever. The next-gen focused game will feature a much higher player count compared to previous games and is set in the near future.
EA has a games showcase of its own planned for July, so it's unclear just how much of the new Battlefield will be shown off next week. We may be in for a cinematic trailer before the gameplay footage drops during EA Play Live.
