Digitalo, the Florida based developer of this year's Unreal engine based FPS Devastation has officially shut their doors as of last Monday, Nov. 3. According to what an official source at Digitalo told HomeLAN today, sales of Devastation were below expectations and a couple of future planned projects were cancelled. At the time of the studio's closing, eight people were still employed. In addition to Devastation, Digitalo helped to create the PC version of EA's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and the acclaimed Unreal engine based Notre Dame Cathedral simulation, as well as a planned add-on for Unreal Tournament that got cancelled. The official Devastation forums will remain open but our source said official support for the game has halted with no further patches for the game planned.
