Samsung brought a host of Disney characters to its AR Emoji line-up for the Galaxy S9 series over the past few months. These include Daisy Duck and Goofy which were announced last month and the Incredibles family which was introduced in May. Now, Samsung and Disney have added a new set of characters to AR Emojis for the 2018 flagship phones: Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and Kristoff.
The latest AR Emojis are the popular characters from Disney's Frozen, a fantasy and musical comedy film released in 2013 to critical acclaim. To get the new emojis, simply access the camera’s AR Emoji mode, press the plus icon on the lower right side, and pick the Frozen AR Emoji pack from the Galaxy App Store.
With the new emojis, Galaxy S9 and S9+ users will be able to make AR avatars out of the main Frozen characters in order to personalize their communication with friends. The new characters join Disney classics Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Donald Duck, which are already available as AR Emojis. Samsung promises to roll out more AR Emojis in the future as part of its collaboration with Disney.
The AR Emoji feature was launched earlier this year in conjunction with the unveiling of the Galaxy S9 range, as part of Samsung's attempt to rival Apple's Animoji that's included in the iPhone X.
