About a month ago, Capcom made a surprise announcement at the PlayStation 5 price reveal event held in September. The Japanese video game company unveiled Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition for next-gen consoles at the showcase. At the time, it was revealed that both Sony and Microsoft's upcoming new consoles would get the game since day one as a digital release.
Today the last tidbit of information that was still shrouded in mystery regarding DMC 5 Special Edition was unveiled. The physical launch date for the upcoming next-gen title has been announced.

While the digital launch is slated for November to coincide with the two consoles' releases, the physical release of Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will hit stores on December 1, 2020.
The upcoming new edition of the fifth instalment in the Devil May Cry franchise is set to arrive on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series S. Aside from the base game, it will feature a Turbo Mode, a Legendary Dark Knight mode and a Vergil mode which will add Vergil as a playable character in the game.
