As promised, id Software has released the Linux retail client/server patch for DOOM 3, offering Penguin-powered gamers the opportunity to play this first-person horror shooter sequel on their OS of choice. The release requires five PK4 files from the retail game, and includes an OpenGL client as well as a dedicated server. Additionally, the native Linux version of the single-player demo is available as well, as before offering the intro movie and the first three levels from the full game.
