During May, EA gave away four expansion packs from its two most recent Battlefield entries, but the publisher isn't done yet, with two more expansions from the shooter series now being free to claim. The expansions on offer this time are Battlefield 1's Turning Tides and Battlefield 4's Second Assault.
Turning Tides brings in the British Empire's Royal Marines to the World War 1 shooter along with four new maps, the Conquest Assault mode, and more. Meanwhile on the modern front, the Second Assault expansion brings back four popular maps from Battlefield 3 with new Levolution elements.
This is a great opportunity for base game owners as well as EA and Origin Access subscribers to expand their map and equipment pools. The links below have the claim pages listed for each platform, with the giveaway lasting for a whole week, however, the offer doesn't seem to be available on the US PlayStation Store just yet.
Battlefield 1 - Turning Tides: PC via Origin | Xbox One | PlayStation 4 (GB)
Battlefield 4 - Second Assault: PC via Origin | Xbox One | PlayStation 4 (GB)
These frequent giveaways of past expansions should help in boosting the player population on DLC map enabled servers. EA seems to be moving on from season passes altogether as well, with the upcoming Battlefield V ditching paid maps and the Premium Pass to keep the player base from fracturing.
