Electronic Arts last week purchased German game developer Phenomic, the developers of SpellForce 2: Shadow Wars. Now it seems that EA has it's eyes on Crytek, another German developer and makers of FarCry, the FPS shooter that sold 2.4 million copies. Coupled with their acquisition of the Unreal 3 engine last week this would give EA the rights to two of the top FPS game engines, for current and future next-gen titles.
