European EverQuest II beta starts July

Ubisoft and Sony Online Entertainment will begin accepting applications for the European EverQuest II beta test next week.

Ubisoft and Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) have today announced that the European public beta test of EverQuest II will get under way in July. Any European gamers interested in taking part can register at the official EverQuest II Web site beginning on June 7. SOE will notify successful applicants in stages over the coming months.

"EverQuest II will begin public beta testing in both Europe and North America at the same time," said John Smedley, president of Sony Online Entertainment. "Our goal is a simultaneous launch of the game in three languages--English, French, and German. Our simultaneous beta is going to go a long way towards helping us make sure that we make EverQuest II an international success."
