In March, the Windows Phone Evernote app got a major upgrade to version 3.0, with a new design and lots of new features for the popular note taking software program. This week, the app got yet another smaller but still significant update to version 3.1.
One of the new features in the revised app, now available in the Windows Store, is the ability to pin the app's tools, such as notes and snapshots, to the Windows Phone Start screen. This should allow owners of those smartphones a faster way to get to the Evernote features they use the most without having to go through a menu list.
The other notable new addition is what's being called Snippet View. This will arrange notes on the Evernote app in a horizontal list. This small tweak sounds like it will make viewing notes on the app easier. The app page also says that version 3.1 includes some unnamed bug fixes and improvements.
Evernote seems to be highly supportive of Windows Phone with these regular new updates for the app. Earlier this year, its CTO Dave Engberg stated the average revenue from each of its Windows Phone users was bigger than each user of its Android app.
