UK BOX SHIFTER Evesham Micros has jumped on the Lindows bandwagon, offering a PC running the operating system for a mere 249 quid.
US buyers were offered a Lindows PC for $199 but since we Brits pay through the nose for most things and even though a quid's still worth more than a buck, there aren't many PC on sale in the septic isle for less.
The E-scape Li PC features the VIA's cool C3 processor with the VIA Apollo PLE133 integrated chipset, a 40Gb Hard disk, 256MB of DRAM, a vanilla CD drive, modem and mouse. Open Office and 10 other Lindows apps are bundled. Like the US version, a monitor costs extra, however.
Evesham MD, Richard "give it some welly" Austin, reckons it's a "price-breaking PC bargain."
