Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes expansion announced

In 2012, developer and publisher Stardock released Elemental: Fallen Enchantress, a new game in the company's turn-based fantasy strategy series that began in 2010 with the release of Elemental: War of Magic. Today, Stardock announced a new stand alone expansion for the game, Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes.

The expansion will include " ... new monsters, new champions, larger maps, new tactical battle maps and re-imagines the role of heroes in the world of Elemental." In Fallen Enchantress, players found and recruited their heroes via exploration. Legendary Heroes reverses that feature and has heroes coming to the players.

Derek Paxton, the lead designer of Legendary Heroes, states, "Your kingdom gains fame through a variety of means and as a result, the player's affinity with champions is now tied to the choices their Kingdom as a whole makes."

People who pre-order the game will be able to access a beta version in March. It will officially launch in April as a stand alone expansion pack for $39.99. People who already own Elemental: Fallen Enchantress will be able to purchase Legendary Heroes for just $19.99. Best of all, people who bought Elemental: War of Magic before November 2010 will get Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes for free.
