According to Bethesda executive producer Todd Howard, Fallout 3's content is finished and the title is now at the polishing stage. What's more, the upcoming game may turn out to be much bigger than anticipated.
Howard now comments that Fallout 3 is "probably twice the size that we originally had on paper" and "approaching" the magnitude of Oblivion. Overall, Howard estimates that the forthcoming title "easily" includes more than a hundred hours of total gameplay and over 200 endings—each ending naturally being tailored to the player's path throughout the game.
Fallout 3 is still very much on track to hit stores some time this fall, according to Howard. The game is expected to come out for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
