As the gaming industry shifts, it looks like some industry heavyweights have been forced to produce titles without the assistance of major publishers; Koji Igarashi is probably best known as producer of the long running series "Castlevania". For over 20 years, Igarashi has spent his time at Konami producing and building the iconic franchise. However, in 2014, veteran Igarashi left Konami to pursue his passion and formed his own studio. He is now seeking assistance from Kickstarter to fund his latest project titled, "Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night".
Although the Kickstarter page does not offer footage of the gameplay, it isn't hard to imagine how this title will play. Much like Igarashi's previous work, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a gothic action platformer that will offer exploration, some RPG elements and crafting. If funded, the game will be available on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. The Kickstarter project has 32 days left and has surpassed the halfway point with nearly $300,000 USD. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is expected to arrive in March of 2017.
