FileZilla 2.2.7a

finalcut has reported in the BPN forum that FileZilla 2.2.7a is now availabled. The FileZilla client offers similar features and capability to its commercial alternatives. This is a minor update to the 2.2.7 release where new features such as MODE Z file transfer compression was introduced.

Changelog:

  • SSL libs could not be loaded if msvcr71.dll was missing. Removed that dependancy.

  • File exists actions on transfer page in settings did not work properly

  • Fixed regression introduced in 2.2.7 which caused most file operations to use file creation time instead of last modification time

  • FileZilla did follow symbolic links if deleting remote files/folders.

They didn't stop at FTP clients, the FileZilla developers have gone a step further and offered the FTP server solution as well. Personally, I'm using FileZilla, and I must say that I am very satisfied with where this software is going. If you need a free FTP client or server, FileZilla may be the answer for you.
