It's been nearly 20 years since the original release of Final Fantasy VII on Sony's PlayStation console, and although there have been subsequent releases of the game on PC and iOS, Android users have been left in the dark for quite some time. Today, Square Enix has finally made the game available to those with Android devices.
While it has taken some time for the title to arrive on Android, there are some bugs to be on the look out when enjoying Final Fantasy VII. As listed on the official description of the game on Google Play Store, the titles suffers from a bug that will cause certain methods of transportation to stop moving.
Depending on the terrain and timing of the action, the buggy, submarines, airships, and other modes of transportation may cease to move when the player embarks or disembarks. Currently, the only fix is to restart the game from a data file saved before the bug occurred. We recommend saving frequently and/or utilizing multiple save files. This bug occurs most often when players embark or disembark while extremely close to the terrain, as well as during time-sensitive activities for events.
The above bug will without a doubt become annoying, but should be a small price to pay for those that have been waiting to play the title on mobile. Although an older title, Final Fantasy VII weighs in at a hefty 2GB when installed and will require users to have at least 4GB of space available to download. The game will also requires users to be running Android 4.3 or higher and will cost $15.99.
